BHOPAL: “We are new in industry and presently we aim at learning, not competing”, said Paritosh Tripathi and Monica Murthy, anchors of Happy Hour, a new comedy show telecasted at & TV while addressing the media persons in Bhopal on Wednesday.

The comedy show entertains the audience with skits, public opinions and jokes on the day to day life of a common man. Talking about the show, Paritosh said, “The show will soon change the format. Now we will have themes everyday like satire, household jokes, mimicry, etc. Our show is a family show and we strictly follow the no adult jokes and no bad words format, which, most of the shows follow. My character Kavi Brijesh Kumar Naya is also unique. We have this story about the name that my mother wanted me to do something new in life and that is why I have the ‘Naya’ in my name” Paritosh is a theatre artist and says that comedy is the toughest genre of entertainment because one laughs only when you hit the right joke at the right time.

Monica, who hosts the segment ‘The Rangana Kanaut Show’ said, “A YouTube video, where I was mimicking Kangana Ranaut became viral and the producers selected me for the show after watching the video. It was a moment of extreme pride and excitement for me. But now I realise that how difficult it is to make people laugh because now we are being seen everyday by millions of people.” Monica also excels in singing and she can sing in 8 languages.
