ADM, SDM, CSP and temple admin perform footwear searching

Ujjain : Super management of Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple Management Committee (SMTMC) and police machinery failed squarely on Mahashivraatri it became evident when collector and officiating president of SMTMC, Kavindra Kiyawat along with other top officials were seen searching for shoes of devotees after chaos prevailed at Shoe Counter in evening.

Collector Kiyawat witnesses failure, was seen searching for devotees shoes

Collector Kiyawat, SMTMC administrator RP Tiwari, ADM Awadhesh Sharma, SDM Kshitij Sharma, Mahakal CSP Abhishek Tiwari, assistant temple administrators Priti Chauhan and Sudeep Meena with employees of SMTMC had to take management of Shoe Counter in their hands after Maan Sevis failed to handle the counter efficiently. As anger of devotees roused who were struggling to get their footwear at the counter for hours, collector pressed in all the officials present at the place to search for footwear of devotees. When Free Press asked the reason of mismanagement from collector Kiyawat he passed the ball in devotees section and said, devotees are jumping inside the counter in search of their footwear and interrupting the smooth procedure which is leading to chaos. This situation prevailed as administration vested their too much confidence in Maan Sevis for handling of the counter but they did not perform the work with responsibility. This time around 2500 duty passes were issued to Maan Sevi’s by the SMTMC for providing their selfless services on the occasion but all of them seemed interested only for facilitating Darshan to their acquaintances and affecting arrangements.

“We did Darshan of lord Mahakal within 45 minutes but has been waiting for getting our footwear from last 2 hours…..management of shoe counter failed completely” Akhilesh Mittal devotee who came from Ajmer.

In-charge looses cool
When question regarding mismanagement was asked from Shoe Counter in-charge, Sunil Jain he got furious and entered in argument with this reporter and blamed the receivers sitting at the shoe counter. Slips pasted over the bags got removed while picking bags from the trolley due to which all the confusion was created, Jain said in his clarification.
