Indore : Classic hobbies like collecting stamps and coins seem to be passé, as people are now going crazy with selfies.

Taking this craze to an interesting level, 30-year-old admin manager at Acropolis Institute Ankur Patni has taken selfies with more than 2,000 celebrities including Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Malaika Arora, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan.

Talking about his craze, Patni said, “I started collecting pictures with celebs in the year 2002.” He shared that he made contacts at the airport by going there every day. “I became friends with airport authorities, so that they would share details of celebrities when they came to town,” he added.

With his selfie collection growing, Patni did not think twice before travelling to Mumbai to meet Yash Chopra some years back.

“Though, I could not meet him, I did have coffee with his son Uday,” he said.

Sharing his best experience, he talked about his meeting with Amitabh Bachchan in Bhopal. “I travelled to Bhopal just to meet him and it was worth it,” Patni said. He shared that Bachchan is the most humble celebrity he has ever come across.

During his celeb chase, Patni met a couple of directors, who agreed to cast him as a junior. “Directors, of some of the movies that were being shot in the city, agreed to add me in their junior cast, which gave me a chance to work with celebs,” he said proudly.

He shared that he was an extra in the movies ‘Youngistan’, ‘Dirty Politics’ and will also been seen in upcoming movie ‘Jism Se Rooh Tak’.
