Cleanliness survey: Mumbai slips to 29th spot

Mumbai: A nationwide cleanliness survey conducted by the Ministry of Urban Development has found BMC slipped to 29th rank which was on top 10 cities rank last year. Asia’s richest municipal body BMC slipped to 29th rank which was on top ten cities rank last year.

According to the official statement issued by the BMC Public Relation officer the civic administration continued to perform well this year too. The officer claimed the city secured 1,535 marks as compared to 1,534 the previous year, one mark extra and remains to be number one city among the mega cities like last year. It further clarified that there is no such category defined this time by MoUD.

The BMC wisely refused their underperformance compared to other cities and rather blamed the citizens for not giving feedback online which was the only reason for down performance which eventually landed the city on 29th spot.
The city only secured 299 marks out of 600 in citizen feedback parameter which is substantially low as compared to top 10 cities.
