BHOPAL :  A class eleven student of Delhi Public School (DPS), Neelbad hanged self in the Misrod area of the city in the wee hours on Tuesday, a day after the results of his final examinations were announced on Monday. He had failed in two subjects.

Two others, including a student, hanged self in separate areas of the city on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday.

According to SI AP Singh, 16-year-old Aditya son of Dr Mahendra Singh lived at 26, Red Square Colony in Misrod area. He was with his family till 1 am on Tuesday and then went to sleep in his room. When his parents opened the door of the room in the morning at around 5 am, before going for a morning walk, they found him missing.

They began searching for him and found him hanging from the railing of the park in the colony. After hearing their shrieks, neighbours reached the spot and informed the police.

Cops discovered that he had failed in mathematics and chemistry. His teacher had warned him to improve his performance or face expulsion from the school. The police sources also said that the school staff had counselled the boy twice regarding his studies. Cops are assuming that he committed suicide due to his poor result. Police have registered an FIR and are investigating the causes of death.

In another incident, a class eight student of Aish Bagh area hanged self in his house on Monday night. 15-year-old, Chhotu son of Rajendra Khatik of Khatik Colony hanged self.

No suicide note was found. Police have registered an FIR and waiting to record the statements of deceased’s family members to know the reason as to why the boy took the extreme step.

In yet another incident of suicide, in the Avadhpuri area, a private company employee hanged self. According to police, 28-year-old Ankur alias Prashant son of a BSNL employee Prem Singh Bains lived at Abhinav Regal Homes located at Avadhpuri area.

Ankur hanged self at around 1.30 am on Tuesday. His shocked father called his younger brother Rajendra Singh Bains, who informed police. Police have registered a case and are waiting for the statements of family members. Cops are interrogating his colleagues also for know the actual reason of suicide.
