Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi has got a clean chit from Supreme Court in sexual harassment charges. The three-judge bench of Supreme Court has found no substance in the sexual harassment allegations against CJI.
A statement from the Supreme Court secretary-general said the report has been submitted to “next senior judge competent to recieve the report” as well as to the Chief Justice of India.
The statement said the in-house committee has found substance in the allegations made by the former Supreme Court employee. The statement also said the report filed by the panel would not be made public.
Incidently, the woman who made the allegations opted out of the Supreme Court probe into the allegations against the chief justice. The woman said the atmosphere of the inquiry was very frightening.
