Indore: Central jail of Indore is planning to host e-classes for its inmates. Considering the suggestion of the inmates, who requested permission to complete their education by doing MBA while serving time, a proposal has been sent by the city jail.

DIG (Jails), Sanjay Pandey disclosed, “After several requests from the inmates, we considered their opinion and have forwarded a proposal regarding the education of the inmates to higher authorities.” In the era of online education, city jail is likely to conduct e-classes for MBA aspirants.

The prisoners claimed their right to free education, despite their felony and urged the authorities to consider their proposal. Prisoners have requested authorities to issue the latest MBA curriculum along with other courses details for completing their education. “We are already running a number of graduation and post graduation courses in the jail,” Pandey added.

Therefore, Pandey is optimistic about getting an approval of the MBA program. “We always received a positive reply from the government whenever education is considered, so surely we will get thumbs up soon,” he said.
