The agency will be carrying out a valuation of the properties owned by Bhujbal and also will have to justify the charges of disproportionate assets levelled against him in the FIR

Mumbai  :Adding to the woes of senior NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal, the Mumbai unit of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) is collecting evidence to justify the First Information Report (FIR), which was registered against him and his family in connection with a disproportionate assets case on Thursday.

A senior officer on condition of anonymity said that the agency is busy collecting information on the assets owned by the Bhujbal family. The agency will be carrying out a valuation of the properties owned by Bhujbal and also will have to justify the charges of disproportionate assets levelled against him in the FIR.

While explaining the valuation process, the officer said  the agency will prepare a comparative report of the price of various properties owned by Bhujbal along with their actual prices.

It may be recalled that the agency had earlier raided all the properties of the Bhujbal family located at various places like Nashik, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, etc.

According to the officer, the agency will take a few months to file a charge sheet in this case since the list of the properties runs into 40 pages and the agency will require more time for collecting information on each property.
