Ujjain :  Traffic plan was enforced in the city for making traffic arrangements smooth but it in turn it further raised the problems of denizens due to ill preparedness of the police. Roads with less pressure of crowd were declared as no vehicle zone whereas roads which witness heavy footfall daily were made vehicle free zone which led to traffic congestion at several places on Wednesday.

Road leading towards government observatory from Harifatak Bridge was made vehicle restricted area which led to heavy traffic jams of passengers who were going towards Chintaman Ganesh temple and adjacent villages like Lekoda, Mangrola and other places. Similarly, Roads leading towards Freeganj from Neelganga and Sindhi Colony area were made no vehicle zone which created several problems for commuters.

Due to unplanned restriction of vehicles devotees faced several problems in going towards Simhastha fair area which led in considerable fall in number of people going to Mela area. Chaotic situation also prevailed in several police stations as denizens were seen struggling for their vehicle passes in the station. However, senior police officials are claiming that traffic arrangements will become smooth after plan gets implemented completely.
