Ujjain: The Ujjain Municipal Corporation (UMC) will restore the Chakor Park, spread over 7.5 acres of land at Maksi road as part of a plan to develop five city parks at a cost of Rs 10 crore in its first phase.

Wapcos private limited, the consultation firm was asked to present a detailed project report on the development of the park at a meeting held on Tuesday, by mayor Meena Jonwal, municipal speaker Sonu Gehlot and other top officials of the MiC.

The park will be developed keeping in mind the needs of children, youth and senior citizens. Piliyakh allocated close to the park has also been included in the project will be developed as a lake. The park will be equipped with a canteen, amphitheatre, acupressure pathway, water treatment plant and land scapings.
