Candidates continue wooing city voters


Ujjain: Candidates of political parties and independents are canvassing to woo voters. Rebellious Congress leader Maya Trivedi started her election canvassing from Siddhanath area. She is contesting the election as an independent candidate and resigned from primary membership of Congress party with her supporters.

She also visited Bhairavgarh, Manak Nagar, Piplinaka and other areas of Ujjain North constituency. According to sources on Thursday she will visit ward numbers 8, 9 and 10 of the city. Likewise, Congress candidate form Ujjain North constituency Rajendra Bharti visited Piplinaka, Bhairavgarh and other areas of his constituency. District Congress spokesperson Vivek Gupta informed that Bharti will continue his interaction campaign on Thursday also.

Congress candidate Rajendra Vashishtha also met with the residents of ward number 40 and other pockets of Ujjain South constituency on Wednesday. He also visited Shankarpur, Shaheed Bhagatsingh Nagar, Shri Nagar, Banjara Bakhal, Kshipra Vihar and other areas of the city. BJP candidate and sitting lawmaker from Ujjain North constituency met the residents of Gudari, Pandariba, Kaharwadi, Khatriwada, Kamari Marg, Danigate, Patani Bazaar, Dhaba Road, Saifee Mohalla and other areas of the city.


On this occasion senior BJP leaders were also present during the interaction with residents. Sitting MLA Mohan Yadav also met the people of Ujjain South constituency on Wednesday, according to sources he will continue his canvassing on Thursday also. Independent candidate from Ujjain South Jaising Darbar also met the residents of the constituency by paying his visits in different areas.
