Bollywood celebrities pay homage to Kishore Kumar on his 29th death anniversary

Mumbai: Bollywood pays tribute to legendary playback singer Kishore Kumar who had passed away on this day, 29 years ago. His Bollywood career spanned for nearly four decades from 1949 to 1987.

Kumar – the multi-talented actor could do anything like acting, playback singing, direction etc.

He was always ready to learn new things but hated to act in movies, yet he featured in more than 50 Bollywood movies. Some of his superhit movies were ‘Padosan’,’ Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi’, ‘Half Ticket’, ‘Ladki’, ‘Asha’, ‘Musafir’ and many more.

His songs today also makes people crazy and fall in loves with hits like ‘Roop Tera Mastana’, ‘Khaike Paan Banaras Wala’, ‘Pag Ghungroo Baandh’, ‘Sagar Kinaare’.

He died on October 13, 1987, at the age of 58 due to a severe heart attack. His body was taken back to his birthplace of Khandwa for cremation.

Anupam Kher– He was a very innocent person. He was a very good singer, I like his song very much. I missed him very much.

Asha Parekh- Kishore was a wonderful person. We always enjoyed work with him. He was a humorous person, when I was small I worked with him in the movie ‘Asha’. He always make a fun on set and makes us laugh. Even today I remembered that one day he came on set in front of me he started singing song “Mai chala mai chala”.

Anuradha Paudwal- A legend in his own right! Absolutely unparalled as a performer!

Hitesh Bhardwaj– Kishore Kumar was a multi talented singer with a golden voice. His song from films ‘ Aradhana’ and ‘Kati Patang’ were amazing. His voice connected to heart of his fans.

Ankit Bhatla– As a singer he was brilliant. His voice and songs mesmerizing the previous generations. I have heard some songs of him and they have been amazing.

Shahshank Vyas– It would be have been great if he was alive. He was a good actor and singe. I love his songs ‘O Mere Dil Ke Chain…’ the most.

Mrunal jain– Kishore Kumar is what my father has grown up on he introduced me to his songs too. My favourite songs is Mera Jeevan Kora Kagaz kora hi reh gaya.

Shivin Narang- My father loves the positive enthusiastic songs. My favourite is ‘Dilbar Mere Kab Tak Mujhe Aise Hi Tadpayoge…’.
