Bihar BSc student held for harassing girl

Indore : A BSc student from Bihar was arrested on Saturday by We Care for You cell of city police for forcing a girl to meet him. The accused had used his cousin brother’s Facebook ID to interact with her.

Accused was handed over to Bhanwarkuan police station staff where further investigation is underway. The girl is a college student.

ASP Amarendra Singh said victim, a resident of Bhanwarkuan, had lodged a complaint that a person named Karan alias Gautam Kumar met her three years ago. They had exchanged mobile number and started talking over phone.

Victim stated in her complaint that accused had gained her trust after which she had sent her photos and videos to him. Now, the accused is threatening her of making her photo and video viral if she did not come to meet him. “Accused is also making phone calls and sending messages on mobile phone for meeting,” girl said in complaint.

After receiving the complaint, cell officials arrested accused from his residence in Rohtas, Bihar.

Accused told police he is pursuing BSc from a college in Bihar. Victim knows brother of accused and therefore she accepted his friendship request when accused showed his cousin’s photo.
