Bhopal: Kailash in Indore, Tomar in Gwalior, Rakesh in Jabalpur to play decisive role

The stalwarts in the BJP, on the lines of Congress, are being given key role in ticket distribution for assembly elections. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan held separate meetings with leaders of a particular constituency over ticket distribution. BJP national president Amit Shah has asked to do the work selecting candidate after holding discussion with leaders of a particular constituency.

Chouhan has discussed with Kailash Vijayvargiya over ticket distribution in Indore, Union minister Narendra Singh Tomar for Gwalior and state president Rakesh Singh for Jabalpur. Chouhan will finalise tickets after separate meetings with these leaders in Delhi.

Chouhan, on Monday, had a meeting with industries minister Rajendra Shukla over candidates in Vindhya region. He also had a meeting with Home minister Bhupendra Singh for Sagar division and general administration minister (GAD) Lal Singh Arya for Bhind. Chouhan discussed on the basis of survey done with these leaders.

According to sources, Akash Vijayvargiya, son of Kailash Vijayvargiya and Lok Sabha speaker Sumita Mahajan’s son Mandar Mahajan may be given ticket from Indore. There are chances of ticket denial to sitting MLAs, namely Usha Thakur and Mahendra Hardia. Ticket may be denied to Maya Singh from Gwalior and MLA Bharat Singh Kushwaha. The sitting MLAs of Jabalpur may be given a different seat.

houhan has discussed on these issues with the leaders of the constituencies. He would talk to leaders in Delhi on Tuesday over ticket distribution, following which the names would be put up in the meeting of Central election committee.

Young candidates should get chance, opines Vijayvargiya
Bharatiya Janata Party national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya, in a meeting of election committee has said, that the party should give chance to young candidates this time. Vijayvargiya said most of the BJP leaders in the present have reached around 60 years of age. He said it was the right time to prepare new generation. Vijayvargiya said we were given chance by Kushabhau Thakre and Sunderlal Patwa and now it was our work to give chance to youths.

BJP candidates to file nominations on Dhanteras
BHOPAL: Bharatiya Janata Party has decided its poll-rolls and its candidates will file their nominations on Dhanteras. The party is expected to announce its list of candidates on November 1. In a bid to celebrate filing of nominations, the party has decided that its candidates will file nominations on Dhanteras on November 5. While the party has officially announced the date of release of list of candidates, the Congress is yet to get its act together.

Five sitting MLAs of Bhopal to get ticket
In the discussion on ticket distribution in Bhopal held on Monday, it has almost been decided that Umashankar Gupta would contest from Bhopal South-West seat, Surendra Nath Singh from Bhopal central, Vishwas Sarang from Narela, Rameshwar Sharma from Hujur and Vishnu Khatri would be given ticket from Berasia.

Krishna Gaur, daughter-in-law of former Chief Minister Babulal Gaur would be given ticket from Govindpura. The candidate from Bhopal North seat has not yet been decided and any Muslim face may be given ticket from this seat.
