Ujjain :  Two prominent Akharas took out the Peshwai in the city on Wednesday. The Peshwai of Bada Udasin and Agni Akhara poured the majestic grace of the saints’ fraternity as they passed from the route decked up with the impatient viewers. The Peshwai displayed the zing of royal elephants, horses, chariots and beautiful tableaux exhibiting the Indian culture.

The grand Peshwai of Shri Panchayati Bada Udasin Akhara began from Udasin Akhara Ashram located at Shivaji Park after the worship of the deity Udasinacharya Chandra Dev. It was indeed a blissful moment for thousands of citizens to witness the grand entry of saints, mehants and Mahamandleshwars. Minister Bhupendra Singh, PCC president Arun Yadav and others also sought blessings from the sages. As the Simhastha Mahakumbh is going to commence from April 22, all the prominent Akharas have taken entry into the Mela premises. The entry into the Mahakumbh is itself a festival for these saints who are the epitome of spiritual excellence.

The Peshwai of Bada Udasin Akhara was accompanied by 25 beautiful tableaux displaying the scenes from ancient Indian history and the mythological deities including Goddess Durga, Bharat Mata, Shiv-Parvati, Samudra Manthan, Vishnu-Lakshmi, etc. Hundreds of women were carrying holy Kalash (urns) on their heads and singing chores. Saints were escorting the Peshwai carrying the Dharma Dhwaja. The deity of Chandra Dev was presided in the palanquin next. Next was a club of white horses on which riding the saints. The Peshwai also exhibited the Indianness as the folk artists wearing Rajasthani, Gujarati and Punjabi were dancing on the beats of dholaks.

Mahamandleshwar Guru Sharananand, Peethadhiswahr Sumagya Muni Mehant Dharma Prakash, Peethadhishwar Mehant Divyambar Muni, Mahamandleshwar Swami, Jagdish Das, Shrimant Prakash Puri, Swami Atmadas, Swami Kapil Muni, Hansaram Bhilwara and many others were riding on chariots. The Peshwai was accorded a grand welcome by the citizens and viewers from adjoining districts. Peshwai concluded at Nadi Darwaza of Bada Udasin Akhara.

School Education Minister Paras Jain greeted the saints and mehants of Agni Akhara at Nai Sadak. He sought blessings from Muni Sureshkumar Harnava at his pandal located at Dutt Akhara. He also visited Mahamandleshwar Swami Yatindranand Giri at Ujarkhera area, Mehant Naval Giri of Juna Akhara and sought information about the services and facilities provided to them.
