Ujjain : All India Radio (AIR) will play a role of public service broadcaster during Simhastha. Radio has been playing its role as a communicator and mediator. It is a cheapest medium of communication. It is all pervasive. People listen to AIR while travelling and on mobile phones. PM Narendra Modi also shares his thoughts at Mann ki Bat on AIR.
This was told by AIR Additional Director General Dr Shailendra Kumar addressing the inaugural session of the 2-day meet of Regional Programme Coordinating Committee in the city on Wednesday. Interacting to the in-charges of AIR Centers of MP and Chhattisgarh, Dr Kumar told that the State of Madhya Pradesh had achieved a remarkable growth in the economical development in the last 10 years and it is no longer known as an ill State. AIR has to extend its image during Simhastha. He invoked the staff and expected the best broadcast. He felicitated deputy director of AIR Raipur Mokshada Chandrakar as she had been conferred upon Padma Shree.
Inaugural session was chaired by Bhopal deputy director Anwar Ahmed. AIR Indore in-charge director Siddhanath Solanki delivered the welcome address. Programme chief LN Patel introduced AIR Indore. Sudha Sharma and Sanjeev Malviya conducted the programme.
