Ujjain :  The big bathing day has finally arrived when lakhs of saints and pilgrims will take holy dip in Kshipra. Administration is busy in giving final touch to the preparations of Shahi Snan. With the first Shahi Snan the Kumbh Mela will commence in the temple town of Ujjain.

According to a release of the Simhastha Fair Administration, common pilgrims will not be allowed to take bath on Ramghat and Dutt Akhara Ghat from 2 am on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday. Shaiva, Juna, Agni, Avahan, Mahanirwani, Atal, Niranjani and Dutt Akhara will take bath at Dutt Akhara ghat. They will enter from Barnagar Road. Juna Akhara will arrive through Bherupura road and Barnagar Road. Agni and Avahan Akhara will join them near Hanuman Garhi. Then they will head to Shankaracharya Chouraha, Chhoti Rapat and at Dutt Akhara. Bath will be held between 5 am and 8 am.

 The procession of Vaishnav Akharas will begin from Ankpat and will pass through Nikas Chouraha, Satigate, Chhota Sarafa, Chhatri Chowk, Gopal Mandir, Patni Bazaar, Gudri Chouraha and will reach at Ramghat. The procession will be accompanied by bands, elephants, horses and chariots. After taking bath, the saints will return back to the Akharas passing from Chhoti Rapat, Danigate, Bilotipura, Juna Somwaria, Peeplinaka, Ankpat and will conclude at Khak Chowk. They will take bath between 8 am and 12 pm. After the bath of Vaishnav Akharas, Bada Udasin Akhara and Naya Udasin Akhara will take bath at Ramghat. At the end Nirmal Akhara will take bath at Ramghat.
