60 cattle shifted outside city, illegal encroachments razed

Ujjain Municipal Corporation’s (UMC) gang captured over 60 stray cattle and sent them out of the city in a safe cattle shed.
Municipal commissioner Pratibha Pal told that public representatives are also supporting the the drive undertaken by police and UMC. ‘

Encroachment in Jantar-Mantar area removed

The UMC’s team reached Jantar Mantar area of the city on Friday with cops, JCB machines and the officials concerned and removed restaurants, kiosks and other illegal encroachments constructed on the government’s land. It also razed some houses and shifted the residents to a building located in village Panwasa when they showed them lease-deed documents granted by the government in the year 1998. Officials informed that action against encroachments will continue in Harifatak and surrounding areas.
