11 years of BJP rule in State to be celebrated with gaiety

Ujjain : The Bharatiya Janata Party will observe the completion of 11 years in power under the leadership of Shivraj Singh Chouhan in the State on November 29. At a meeting of the BJP District executive committee held in the city yesterday, State Vice president, Vijesh Lunawat said the party would celebrate the day on a festive note and hold beneficiary conventions.

Lunawat said 2017 would be observed as the birth centenary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay. The executive committee discussed the various programmes to be held on the occasion. It stated that the year would be dedicated towards the welfare of the poor. Praising party workers on the successful organization of the Simhasta Fair, he said they were industrious and a great source of strength to the party as a whole.

Presiding over the meeting, city unit President Iqbal Singh Gandhi stated that the executive committee of all the districts had been formed during the meeting of the State executive committee. The committee reviewed the works done in the last 3 months and presented a report of the work done at the city and block level. General secretary Vivek Joshi presented the city report. Rajya Sabha member, Dr Satyanarayan Jatia also addressed the meeting. The new organising general secretary, Pradeep Joshi was accorded warm welcome while outgoing organizing secretary Rakesh Dagor was felicitated. Satyanarayan Chouhan conducted the programme while Bharti Verma proposed the vote of thanks.
