10 looks that caught our eye at the Lakme Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2018

The Lakme Fashion Week is known to bring together glitz, glamour, and royalty under one roof. The Spring/Summer 2018 edition just got over. And like every year, this year too the fashion gala brought together some of the coolest names in the fashion industry, best-dressed celebrities, and Bollywood Showstoppers. From edgy separates to bridal lehengas, the event saw everything. From Shilpa Shetty Kundra’s heavily embellished Jayanti Reddy lehenga to Dia Mirza’s gold embroidered saree, here are our favourite picks from the Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2018.

Designer Neha Agarwal’s ‘Lost in the Woods’ collection for the ‘Agami’ label is inspired by nature and wilderness. The collection celebrates the complexity of human thought and emotion. The showstopper Vaani Kapoor walked the ramp for the designer and wore an ensemble that was embellished with intricate plum, black and white floral beadwork, that comprised of an ethereal blue skirt and a backless blouse with sensual cutouts that added a flirty touch.

Shilpa Shetty looked gorgeous in an embroidered ivory lehenga with scalloped hemline and blouse, teamed with a ruffled dupatta.

Sushmita Sen

We all know why Sushmita Sen deserves the Miss Universe title. She walked the ramp to the strains of the Umrao Jaan song ‘In aankhon ki masti main..’ wearing a beautiful lehenga, glittering choli and diaphanous dual dupattas. The collection titled ‘Samanzar – A Garden of Flowers’ was created by Sama Ali for the Kotwara label by Meera and Muzaffar Ali.

Kareena Kapoor Khan walked the runway for designer Anamika Khanna’s during the Grand Finale of the Lakme Fashion Week Summer resort 2018. The actress was spotted wearing a modern age saree drape in the combination of a palla and pants. The corset belt and lace work on the dress made her look even more ravishing.

Karisma Kapoor who walked the ramp for designer Ravi Bhalotia for her MidSummer Wreath collection. The actress was seen wearing a white-silver embroidered lehenga choli molded out of delicate floral embroidery. The designer is known for her designs inspired by the cultural richness of Bengal and vibrant spirit of Rajasthan.

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut showcased a creation by designer Shyamal and Bhumika. The actress wore a beautiful cream-colored embroidered gown with a sparkling bustier.
