World Environment Day was observed by Western Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation (WRWWO) through the Digital platform, under the able guidance of Tanuja Kansal - President of WRWWO, who is known for her enthusiasm and love for nature. Kansal alongwith Executive Members of WRWWO at Headquarters and Divisional Presidents made their commitment towards a greener tomorrow by taking a resolve of planting trees which will in turn help in Ecosystem Restoration, which is the theme of World Environment Day 2021.
According to Sumit Thakur- Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Rly, speaking on the occasion Kansal said that we need to put in all efforts to protect Mother Earth, for our future generations. She remarked that a little effort put by each person will go a long way to show that we care for Mother Earth. She requested members of WRWWO to take a pledge to work together to save and protect Planet Earth by keeping it clean and green. The Executive Committee members of WRWWO at Headquarters and Divisional Presidents of all six divisions of WR participated in this digital programme.
