Wockhardt recalls drugs in US

New Delhi : Mumbai-based Wockhardt is recalling 1,62,142 cartons of various drugs, which are used to treat ailments like high blood pressure and ulcer, in the US market due to deviations in current good manufacturing practice norms laid down by the US Food and Drug Administration’s (USFDA).  All the drugs being recalled by the company have been manufactured at its Mumbai-based facility and distributed in the US by its subsidiary, Wockhardt USA.  Shares of Wockhardt today ended at Rs 1,543.35 apiece on the BSE, up 4.05 per cent from previous close.
