New Delhi: Agrochemical firm UPL has reported a 25% increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 552.02 crore for the quarter ended March, on account of higher income. The company had reported a net profit of Rs 440.06 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal. Total income from operations rose to Rs 4,339.72 crore in January-March from Rs 3,624.33 crore a year ago, the company said in a regulatory filing. UPL, formerly known as United Phosphorus Ltd, has 10 manufacturing sites in India and one each in the UK, Vietnam, the Netherlands, Italy and China. Besides, it has four manufacturing sites in France, two in Spain and three in Argentina. The Mumbai-based company has two other listed firms — Advanta and UEL.
