Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa said investments proposals worth over Rs 2 lakh crore have been inked in various sectors including manufacturing and energy during the two-day Global Investors Meet (GIM) which concluded on Thursday.
US auto major Ford Motor Co confirmed fresh investments to expand capacity at its manufacturing plant here besides setting up of a new global engineering and technology centre.
Ford’s Chennai plant has an installed annual capacity to produce 2 lakh vehicles and 3.4 lakh engines.
