State Bank of India's new rules for cash withdrawal: All you need to know

Good news for SBI customers. The bank has now increased the non-home cash withdrawal limits through cheque and withdrawal form. In a tweet, the bank informed that this initiative was being announced to support customers during the pandemic.

The new limits will be valid till September 30, SBI said. No cash payments to third parties through withdrawal forms will be allowed to SBI customers, the bank added.

New cash withdrawals

SBI customers will now be able to withdraw up to Rs 25,000 in a day from any branch except the home branch using withdrawal form accompanied by saving bank passbook.

The limit for withdrawing cash through cheque is up to Rs 1 lakh.

Cash withdrawal by third party is limited to Rs 50,000 using cheque only.

No cash payments to third parties by withdrawal forms will be allowed.

KYC of the third party will have to be submitted.
