New Delhi: Silver prices were up by Rs 69 to Rs 37,620 per kg in futures trading today as traders raised their bets amid firming global trends.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in March was up by Rs 69, or 0.18 per cent, to Rs 37,620 per kg, in a business turnover of 706 lots. Likewise, the white metal for delivery in far-month May edged higher by Rs 67, or 0.18 per cent, to Rs 37,243 per kg in 21 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in silver prices at futures trade to a firming trend in the precious metal overseas. Meanwhile, silver traded 0.69 per cent higher at USD 15.26 an ounce in New York in yesterday’s trade.
