New Delhi: Silver eased further by 0.23 per cent to Rs 35,091 per kg in futures trade today as speculators indulged in reducing their positions, tracking a weak global trend. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in September fell by Rs 81, or 0.23 per cent to Rs 35,091 per kg in a business turnover of 4,914 lots.
Similarly, December contract was trading lower by Rs 83, or 0.23 per cent, to Rs 35,871 per kg in a business volume of 55 lots. Market analysts said offloading of positions by speculators in tandem with a weakening global trend mainly kept pressure on silver prices in futures trade. Meanwhile, Silver fell 0.3 per cent to USD 15.32 an ounce in London.
