New Delhi: Silver fell by Rs 123 to Rs 41,745 per kg in futures market today amid profit-booking at prevailing higher levels. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in July shed Rs 123, or 0.29 per cent, to Rs 41,745 per kg in a business turnover of 2,977 lots. Also, the white metal for delivery in May lost Rs 107, or 0.26 per cent to Rs 41,110 per kg in 220 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by speculators to book profits mainly dragged down silver futures but a firming trend in the precious metals, limited the losses. Globally, silver rose 0.46 per cent to USD 17.59 an ounce in Singapore.
