Mumbai : Reliance Power (RPower) posted 15 % increase in its net profit for the March quarter at Rs 266 crore on improved operational performance of projects like Rosa plant in Uttar Pradesh and higher generation.
Total income for the quarter nearly doubled to Rs 1,264.89, registering a growth of 93.77 % against Rs 652.77 crore a year ago, the company said. “The numbers are a reflection of improved operating performance with the commissioning of some of our major projects like the 1,200-mw Rosa project in Uttar Pradesh,” Chief Executive Officer JP Chalasani said.
“This year saw the first full year operation of our 1,200 MW Rosa project in Uttar Pradesh and the 40-mw Solar PV project in Rajasthan which resulted in record generation and profitability,” Chalasani. For the full fiscal, the Anil Ambani-led company reported a rise of 16.69% in net profit at
Rs 1,011.46 crore.
