Ringing Shock! Telcom sector to stop free incoming calls facility?

The telecom sector is likely to cancel the scheme of free incoming calls, as per a report in Zeebiz.com. The telecom sector currently gives free incoming calling to its customers. However, as per the report, Reliance Jio which is getting popular day-by-day and bringing new schemes has made data cheap. It was Jio which made free unlimited voice calls and its users were only charged for data. This has affected the telecom firms’ earnings and hence they have decided to end the free incoming calls scheme.

Telecom sector’s this scheme, if implemented, will surely hit people and it will affect their pocket. There are many people, including in rural side, who are using mobiles for incoming calls only. For this, the customers need to recharge rarely.

With the telecom sector planning to charge people for the incoming calls, companies such as Airtel have come up with minimum recharge schemes with validity of 28 days. Under this, users will get Rs 26 talk time and 100MB data for 28 days.
