Rural Electrification Corporation (REC), a Navratna Public Sector Company declared its financial results for the quarter and year ended 31st March, 2015.
Total Income of the company for the quarter and year ended on 31st March, 2015 has increased to Rs. 5,371 crores and Rs.20,388 crores respectively as against the corresponding quarter and year ended on 31st March, 2014 of Rs.4,490 crores and Rs. 17,121 crores respectively, thus, registering an increase of 20% and 19% for the quarter and the year.
Profit after tax of the company for the year ended on 31st March, 2015 has increased to Rs. 5,260 crores as against the corresponding year ended on 31st March, 2014 of Rs. 4,684 crores thus registering an increase of 12% for the year. EPS for the year ended 31st March, 2015 is Rs. 53.27. Net worth of the company has increased to Rs.24,857 crores.
The Loan Asset Book of the company as on 31st March, 2015 has increased to Rs. 1,79,647 crores and the outstanding borrowings is Rs. 1,51,024 crores. The Board of Directors has recommended final dividend of Rs. 2.70 per equity share ,in addition to the interim dividend of Rs. 8.00 per equity share of Rs. 10/- each for the FY 2014-15.
