Mumbai : Reliance Communications Ltd Wednesday sought to withdraw its petitions before the National Company Law Tribunal for merger of its wireless operations with Aircel Ltd and sale of tower operations to Brookfield Group. However, the tribunal said it will consider the pleas after all the petitioners make similar applications. Aircel, which is one of the petitioners, is yet to file the withdrawal application.

The tribunal will hear the case next on Oct 11. Reliance Communications will rework the tower sale deal with Brookfield and file a fresh petition before the NCLT, the company said in a press release. On Oct 1, Reliance Communications announced scrapping of the merger agreement with Aircel raising concerns over its repayment ability in future.
