Rajasthan signs Rs 50k cr pacts in mines, cement, power sectors

Jaipur : As a precursor to Resurgent Rajasthan Partnership Summit 2015, to be held on November 19-20, the Rajasthan government signed 13 pacts worth Rs 50,527 crore with public sector undertakings, reports PTI.

Union Minister for Power, Coal and New & Renewable Energy Piyush Goyal, Union Minister for Steel and Mines Narendra Singh Tomar, and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje were present.

Goyal said, “Rajasthan is the first state in the country to have submitted a detailed plan to the Centre for providing 24X7 power for all. What is more, it has already succeeded in providing up to 22 hours of power to every village in the state.”

These MoUs were signed by the state government with central PSUs like SAIL, NLC, RINL, Hindustan Copper and FCI, and private sector companies like Reliance Cement, Hindustan Zinc, Jindal Saw, Utra Tech Cement, Marwar Cement, Ojaswi Marble and Granite and Ambuja Cement.
