Bhopal: Quality of medicines given to patients in government hospitals in Madhya Pradesh has been ensured. Medicines are purchased only form WHO-GMP-certified manufacturers by inviting tenders at prescribed rates. Medicines were supplied in years 2011-12 and 2012-13 by GMP suppliers.
Now, only WHO-certified manufacturers are supplying medicines. Only tenders are invited at the state level for procurement of medicines. Online purchase orders for supply of medicines, storage, supply to other institutions, quality report and stock’s availability is monitored through software. Availability and quality of medicines are also reviewed weekly.
Directorate of Health received information about 4 medicines being sub-standard 2 days ago on August 7. Their samples were taken in year 2012 and 2013. Action is being taken to recover price of these medicines and blacklist concerning manufacturers.
Manthan Award-2014 for state’s online higher education loan system
Bhopal: Special Manthan Award was conferred to Madhya Pradesh for its online higher education loan application monitoring system at Manthan South-West India function at Pune. Padmashri Dr. Vijay Bhatkar gave away the award to online system’s in-charge and Programmer in Institutional Finance Directorate, Madhya Pradesh Gopal Swaroop Dube. Madhya Pradesh is the first state to implement online higher education loan application monitoring system.
