NTPC Darlipali undertakes major cleanliness drive under Swachhata Pakhwada

NTPC Darlipali started ‘Swachhata Pakhwada Abhiyan’ from 16th May to 31st May, 2021 under the cleanliness initiative of Swachh Bharat Mission. As a part of this fortnightly drive, various activities related to environmental benefits were carried within the plant premises and in the nearby villages.

The Swachhata Pakhwada aimed at maintaining cleanliness, tree plantation and awareness on importance of a clean and green environment. In tandem with the mission, NTPC Darlipali conducted sanitization drive for nearby villages, sanitization and fogging within plant premises. In an effort to keep the environment green, tree plantation drive was conducted to mark the importance of a greener environment.

Addressing on the importance of clean environment, S K Satya, ED (Darlipali) & RED (ER – II) encouraged employees to maintain & contribute in keeping a clean environment and urged to strongly adhere to Covid-19 behavior.

The fortnightly drive also witnessed banner awareness regarding clean environment, essay and drawing competition on subject of “Swachhata”. The drive was carried with a mission to aware people about the importance of hygienic environment. The cleanliness drive was carried out with adherence to covid-19 protocols.
