Western Delhi : A sugar fraud case of Rs 23 crore has been observed on the complaint of a private company director.

He has accused that the police has shown reluctance in arresting the accused of the scam. Company Model Town Class One Exports Private Limited’s Director, Pravin Kumar, has lodged a complaint with the Roop Nagar police-station alleging Rs 23 crore fraud by Jignesh Shah, Sanjay Shah, Jagmohan and their mates. The police have registered the case under IPC sections 420, 406, 409, 468, 471 and 120B and the North district DCP Madhur Kumar is investigating the case.

Pravin Kumar informed that he has registered the complaint with the Delhi police commissioner, joint commission, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, LG Nazib Jung and Home Minister Rajnath Singh and yet there has been no arrest in the case so far.

As per the information received, Director Pravin Kumar runs a buying and selling business in Delhi, Jaipur and many other states. Prime accused Rajkumar met him posing as a NSEL representative and asked Pravin Kumar to trade with him.

He made the Director meet Jignesh Shah, Sanjay Shah and Jagmohan and introduced them as partners in NSEL. He informed that the trio owns various warehouses in Delhi and are facilitated with quality testing equipments. He was then shown many warehouses from a distance and thus gave a cheque worth Rs 5 lakh 78 thousand to become a member.

Further, they asked Pravin Kumar to deposit Rs 22 crore 60 lakh 81 thousand 222 in HDFC bank account. Later on whenever he asked for the sugar supply as per the talk they kept on making stories and when he realized that he has been duped with such a huge amount, he lodged the complaint. The victim, Kumar, said that these people form a group to fraud. They have fake receipt books of a fake company. Pravin Kumar has also accused DCP Madhur Verma for being lenient with the accused and hence there are no arrests till date. The investigation has not been handed over to the Economic Crime Branch, even though the matter involves such a massive amount.
