New Delhi : National Fertilizers Limited (NFL), a Govt. of India Undertaking, has reported a standalone net profit after tax of Rs. 80 crore for the half year ended 30th September, 2014. In the half year of current fiscal, India’s largest PSU Urea Manufacturer witnessed an increase of 26% in its Income from Operations to Rs. 4486 crore from Rs. 3564 crore in the corresponding previous period.
NFL has achieved gross turnover of Rs.4483Crore in the half yearly results of FY 2014-15. The Company has produced 18.40 LMT Urea up tohalf year ended 30th September, 2014. Neeru Abrol, C&MD, NFL indicated that the company is heading towards the profitability again after a gap of two years. The financial performance of the company was impacted due to commissioning of the feedstock changeover projects at Nangal, Panipat & Bathinda Unit and Capacity Augmentation & Energy Saving Projects at Vijaipur Units, during the last two years. All projects were successfully commissioned and plants are running at required capacities. The Company currently operates five natural gas based Urea Plants, located at Nangal, Bathinda (Punjab), Panipat (Haryana), Vijaipur (M.P.). NFL also produces bio-fertilizers at its Vijaipur Unit.
