The Department of Public Enterprises, Govt. of India granted the much coveted Navratna status to National Buildings Construction Corporation Limited (NBCC), a CPSE under the Ministry of Urban Development. NBCC becomes the 15th Navratna Company amongst 250 Central Public Undertakings in the country.  NBCC provides civil engineering construction services in wide gamut of projects of varied nature, complexities & at socio-political geographical locations, both at home & overseas. NBCC’s present arrays of operations are categorized into three main segments, i.e. (i) Project Management Consultancy (PMC), (ii) Real Estate Development & (iii) EPC Contracting. It has been executing many Landmark Projects as a PMC as its Core strength leveraging its rich experience in Sectors as Diverse as Roads, Hospitals, Institutions, Offices, Residential & Commercial etc.

Of late, NBCC has developed expertise in executing Redevelopment works of old & dilapidated Govt. colonies and presses. It has constructed the eco-friendly New Moti Bagh Complex under GPRA Scheme, instilling all possible green features in the campus. This is India’s first and largest Green Home Campus of its kind. On the similar lines, NBCC’s on-going mega project under this segment is the much talked about East Kidwai Nagar Redevelopment work valuing approximately Rs. 5000 Crore.

Upon receiving the much aspired Navratna status, Dr. Anoop Kumar Mittal, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, NBCC, says, “It is heartening to experience that our target of becoming a Navratna Company by the end of this fiscal is achieved. We, now, plan to lay down our business plans to achieve the next milestone of becoming Maharatna and focus on increasing our turnover by 25-30% every year from here on which will further help us in multiplying our Top-line & Bottom-line. We also plan to increase our footprints in global market, beginning with Middle-East and CIS countries.” He also added that NBCC owes its success to all its employees, stakeholders and tangible & intangible factors which paved its way for the Company to make it jump to such a stature.
