Monica Tata appointed COO at BTVi

After succesful stints with Star and HBO, Monica Tata is now set to don the new role at BTVi – a recently launched English news channel.

Monica Tata, who has over 24 years of experience, has been appointed the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for BTVi, of Reliance Broadcast Network’s Business Broadcast News, an Anil Ambani Group Enterprise.

The channel has gone on air at the start of this month. The channel unveiled a new logo and brand “BTVi” for the erstwhile Bloomberg TV India.

Monica Tata was previously working with HBO India, as the Managing Director.

BTVi, which was earlier partnered with Bloomberg terminals, will now be associated with new partner Thomson Reuters Corp.

Prior to HBO, Tata was with Turner International India as Vice President and Deputy General Manager of Entertainment Networks – South Asia.
In her 24 years long career, she has also served in the capacity of General Manager, Entertainment Networks – South Asia.

Her career begun with Sunday Mail as a marketing executive in 1991. She then moved on to join Star India, where she had a 12-year long stint.
