NEW DELHI: Maruti Suzuki India Ltd is likely to re-start production at its Gurgaon and Manesar facilities on Tuesday, a vendor source said. The company’s plants have been closed since Saturday when violent quota agitations by the Jat community disrupted supply to the two units.
The country’s largest passenger car maker is likely to make up for the cumulative loss of production by running extra shifts. On average, Maruti Suzuki produces 5,000 cars per day at the Gurgaon and Manesar plants combined. -Cogencis
