Mahanagar Gas Ltd introduces India’s first mobile CNG refueling unit

Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL), one of the India's leading Natural Gas Distribution Companies, has for the first time in India introduced Mobile CNG Refuelling Unit at Ajivali near Panvel on old Mumbai-Pune Highway. This Mobile CNG Refuelling Unit was inaugurated virtually by Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon’ble Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas on 8thJune, 2021.

The Mobile CNG Refuelling Unit introduced by MGL is developed under the guidance of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas along with the active support of GAIL India Ltd. and Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organisation (PESO). The Mobile Unit has followed due processes and completed trial runs after receiving initial clearance from PESO. The Mobile CNG Refuelling Unit is equipped with CNG filled cascade enclosed securely with safety systems along with instrumentation and control systems. The unit incorporates a dispensing unit and a reciprocating pump for boosting the pressure during the delivery of CNG.
