In-charge Minister opens Ladli Laxmi Shelter Home

Bhopal : Water Resources and Bhopal district’s In-charge Minister Jayant Malaiya has said that a very large section of girls is facing difficulties in life. Worthy of emulating initiative of social organisation “Bachpan” will improve such girls’ life. Malaiya was inaugurating a Ladli Laxmi Shelter Home set up by “Bachpan” at Station Bazaria area of Bhopal. Malaiya said 30 girl inmates of this shelter home will lead a smooth life after undergoing training here.  It is noteworthy that Lions Club has made available 30 beds, beddings and bed-sheets for the girl inmates of the Shelter Home. Several voluntary organisations in and outside Bhopal and Bal Mitras are also cooperating with “Bachpan” in running the home.

Over Rs 34 crore sanctioned for roads in Tikamgarh dist

Bhopal:  A total of 57.75-km-long roads will be constructed at a cost of over Rs 34 crore in eight rural areas of Tikamgarh district as per the sanction by Water Resources Minister Jayant Malaiya. Principal Secretary Public Works K.K. Singh has directed to complete preliminary formalities for constructing these roads on priority basis.

Antyodaya Mela at Sironj

Bhopal:  Cheques and material worth Rs. nine crore 61 lakh four thousand will be distributed to 8,598 beneficiaries of various schemes at Antyodaya Mela to be held at Sironj on October 12. Public Relations Minister Shri Laxmikant Sharma will distribute cheques to beneficiaries. At the fair, an exhibition was organised by 25 departments showcasing various government schemes and programmes. Besides, employment fair for making available jobs to unemployed youths by private companies and medical check-up camp were also held on the occasion.

MP to become hub of technical education

Bhopal:  A target has been fixed in the Technical Education & Skill Development Policy-2012 to develop the state as a hub of technical education and skill development. For this, selected institutions will be upgraded to model institutions. Besides preparing global-level trained manpower at these institutions, their marketing and branding will also be undertaken. Six courses will be taught in the selected institutions. These courses will be affiliated to national agencies also. Industry-institution interactive cells will also be set up in these institutions, which can also seek international cooperation for their upgradation. Under the scheme, ITIs at the district-level, 10 autonomous polytechnic colleges at division-level and four autonomous engineering colleges in the state will be developed as model institutions by upgrading them in a specific subject. A separate scheme is being chalked out to allow private investors to start industry link course in existing institutions with a view to promoting private investment in skill development and technical education.

Civic Service necessary to streamline urban arrangements

Bhopal:  Constitution of All-India Municipal Service is necessary for streamlining various arrangements in view of increasing urbanisation in the country. This will boost local self-government system. Urban Administration & Development Minister Shri Babulal Gaur said this at the first-information workshop of various states here today. Representatives from Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra and Gujarat participated in the workshop organised by the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations with the cooperation of Madhya Pradesh Urban Administration & Development Department. Gaur said that city development plans are getting prepared for all the towns in the state with view to streamlining arrangements over there. For creation of state-level municipal cadre, the state cabinet has accorded sanction to State Urban Administration Service, State Civil Engineering Service, State Urban Sanitation Service and State Urban Finance Service. E-governance is being promoted by various urban bodies of the state with a view to improving their functioning. Loan worth Rs. 1000 crore has been sanctioned by HUDCO for Mukhyamantri Shahri Pey-jal Yojna for improving urban water supply arrangements.

SC youths to be imparted skill development training

Bhopal:  A programme has been chalked out to impart skill development training to 10 thousand scheduled caste youths in the state this year. The Schedule Castes Welfare Department has set aside a budget of Rs. 10 crore for the training programme during the current fiscal. Under the programme started since October 2, as many as 3,920 candidates are being imparted training in retail trader, computer accounting and BPO trade.
