FDI in retail not to be implemented in MP
Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced not to implement foreign direct investment (FDI) in retail and grocery sector in Madhya Pradesh. Chouhan announced to oppose it with full might. He said that this is not a mere regional issue for him, but also a national issue. Chouhan said, “FDI ka virodh kyon: Videshi Dukan, Badlega Hindustan” (Why opposition to FDI: Foreign shop to change India) during TV debate organised by Aajtak channel under its programme “Aaj ka agenda” in New Delhi. Chouhan explained that he is not against FDI. He said that FDI is welcome in infrastructure development, construction of roads, airports and other development works. But we forcefully oppose it in retail and grocery trade. Chouhan said that FDI will not be implemented in Madhya Pradesh in any case.
5th World Ayurved Conference
Bhopal: As many as 18 noted Ayurved doctors and other specialists will give free consultation and treatment to patients during the 5th World Ayurved conference. These doctors are specialists in treatment of cancer, mental diseases, asthma etc. Panchkarm processes including Vaman, Dineshan, Vastishodhan, Nashya Kshetra will also be used in treatment.
These famous Ayurved specialists include Dr. Urmila Vitkar of Mumbai, Dr. Dhananjay Kulkarni of Pune, Dr. Laxmikant Kotikar Nagar and Dr. Manjesh Deshpandey etc.
Campaign against illegal colonisers
Bhopal: A state-wide campaign will be launched against illegal colonisers with a view to making general facilities available to common people. Proposed drinking water schemes under PPP mode in Shivpuri and Khandwa will be completed by March-April, 2013. This information was given at a meeting of the Urban Administration & Development Department’s advisory committee chaired by Urban Administration & Development Minister Babulal Gaur. Committee members and MLAs Makhanlal Rahore; Vishwas Sarang; Brijmohan Dhoot and Pradeep Amritlal, Principal Secretary S P S Parihar, Commissioner Sanjay Shukla and others were present on the occasion.
New trains under Mukhyamantri Teerth-Darshan
Bhopal: Routes of eight new trains have been fixed under Mukhyamantri Teerth-Darshan Yojna with a view to taking maximum number of senior citizens to pilgrimage centres.
These trains will start from various places between January 11 and 31. It is noteworthy that schedule for 44 trains for pilgrimage from various places of Madhya Pradesh has been released so far.
As per schedule, a train will leave from Shivpuri for Jagannath Puri on January 11, Katni to Shirdi on January 12, Rewa to Rameshwaram on January 17, Datia to Dwarka Puri on January 18, Katni to Tirupathi on January 24, Shajapur to Rameshwaram on January 24, Damoh to Dwarka Puri on January 31 and Guna to Rameshwarm on January 31.
Grand Health Expo inaugurated
Bhopal: A grand Health Expo was inaugurated at the 5th World Ayurved Conference, the biggest in the world, at Lal Parade Ground. Besides reputed Ayurved pharmaceutical companies of India, the Union and State AYUSH departments and institutions have also put up their stalls at the expo.
The expo was inaugurated with recitation of praise of Ayurved’s creator Lord Dhanwantri and Lord Ganesh and Madhya Pradesh Gaan. A large number of Ayurved doctors, students, researchers, experts from country and abroad, representatives of Ayurved universities and Ayurved lovers were present on the occasion. The inaugural function was presided over by founder President of Vigyan Bharti Prof. K I Vasu.
1500 patients given free consultation
Bhopal: Arrangements have been made to give free Ayurved consultation and treatment to patients during the 5th World Ayurved Conference.
Padmashri Vaidya Devendra Triguna inaugurated the camp. Over 1500 pre-registered patients were provided free consultation and treatment. At the health camp, 18 doctors of Maharashtra Vyas Peeth are treating various diseases including cancer, arthritis, obesity, asthma, piles and gynec diseases.
State AYUSH Control Programme soon
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that a State AYUSH Control Programme will be implemented in Madhya Pradesh. Ayurved and naturopathy will be promoted in the state. Chouhan was addressing inaugural function of the Fifth World Ayurved Conference. Former Union Human Resources Development Minister Murli Manohar Joshi was the chief guest on the occasion. Commerce, Industries, Science & Technology Minister Kailash Vijaywargiya; Public Works Minister Nagendra Singh and Minister of State for Health Mahendra Hardia were also present. Patients are being provided free consultation and treatment at the conference at Lal Parade Ground.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that Ayurved is an ideal and simple system of medicine which eradicates root cause of disease. AYUSH Wings will be started in all government hospitals in the state.
