Mumbai : Shares of pharma firm Lupin soared over 6 per cent today after the company received Establishment Inspection Report (EIR) from the US health regulator for its Goa facility, regarding an inspection done by the USFDA in July last year, reports PTI.
The stock surged 6.25 per cent to settle at Rs 1,657.30 on BSE. During the day, it climbed 8.72 per cent to Rs 1,695.95. On NSE, it soared 5.94 per cent to end at Rs 1,655.75.
The company’s market valuation rose by Rs 4,440.9 crore to Rs 74,724.90 crore. The stock was the top gainer among Sensex and Nifty components. The company “has received notification that the inspection carried out by the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) in July 2015 at its Goa facility is now closed and the agency has now issued an EIR,” Lupin said in a BSE filing.
