MUMBAI: The aviation ministry is planning to use the unutilised assets of Kingfisher Airlines Ltd to clear the latter’s dues, ETNow reported. The ministry will also conduct a valuation of the debt-ridden airline’s idle assets, the television channel added. Grounded since October 2012, Kingfisher Airlines owes around 80 bln rupees to a consortium of lenders. Last week, the Supreme Court indicated that it may allow a consortium of 15 banks led by State Bank of India to take possession of Kingfisher Airlines’ prestigious Mumbai property, Kingfisher House.
