Struggling to stay in market, RCom has introduced its new plan for Rs 299 to compete with other telecom operators. The company announced the all-new rental plan in a tweet on Wednesday. It said, “Reliance Mobile introduces the lowest rates ever! Starting at Rs 299 monthly rental.”
There are many large players in market Airtel, Vodafone and Reliance Jio which are offering unlimited calling and data to its consumers at minimal charges. As per reports by NDTV Gadgets, the new plan offers unlimited texts, calls, and data to all its subscribers. Anil Ambani’s RCom has been struggling to cope up with the growing competition from other telecom operators in the market. The entry of Reliance Jio in September 2016 waged a data war in the telecom sector and forced other rival telcos to slash their rates to retain their subscribers.
Currently, Reliance Jio is offering number of plans to its subscribers like Rs 399 plan in which you get unlimited calling and 1 GB data per day for 84 days and similarly Airtel has Rs 399 plan and the user gets unlimited calling and data for 84 days. RCom, earlier this year, received 99.99 percent shareholders’ approval for merger of its wireless business with Aircel.
