Jharkhand CM and Ambassador of Japan meet to strengthen ties

Ranchi: Raghubar Das, Chief Minister of Jharkhand, received a delegation from Japan led by H E Kenji Hiramatsu, Ambassador of Japan to India in Ranchi.

During the meeting, Chief Minister Raghubar Das and H E Kenji Hiramatsu discussed the strengthening of ties between Jharkhand and Japan on economic, industrial and social development fronts. They also exchanged views on cooperation or smart cities project, automotive, student exchange programme, irrigation, cold and supply chain infrastructure, electronics, tourism and skill development. Chief Minister welcomed the Ambassador of Japan and expressed his keenness to promote Japanese investment in Jharkhand. He also expressed his commitment towards making the Japanese industry comfortable in Jharkhand. Raghubar Das assured full cooperation of Government for setting up of Japanese industries in Jharkhand. Ambassador of Japan appreciated the Jharkhand Government’s efforts to improve ease of doing business and enhance the climate for business.

Chief Minister said that there is a strong traditional and cultural bond between Jharkhand and Japan in the form of Buddhism and said that we can build upon this tradition for the welfare of people of the two regions.

Ambassador of Japan said that Japanese industry and Government are looking forward to increase their involvement, participation and investment in Jharkhand.
