Insolvency plea against RCom withdrawn

Mumbai : Tech Madindra Ltd has withdrawn its insolvency petition against Reliance Communications Ltd as an amicable settlement is underway, the former told the National Company Law Tribunal on Thursday. Tech Mahindra in October had filed insolvency petitions against the company and its two subsidiaries to recover dues worth 84 mln rupees. Other than Tech Mahindra, Ericsson India Pvt has also moved the NCLT against Reliance Communications for non-payment of dues of over 11 bln rupees.

TRAI seeks details on disruption of 2G services

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India has asked Reliance Communications Ltd and its subsidiary Reliance Telecom Ltd to provide reasons, by Monday, for disruption of its second generation services in different licensed service areas. TRAI said media reports had suggested the companies had stopped services in Shillong.
