Hero MotoCorp up nearly 2% on positive sales figure in April

Mumbai: Shares of two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp today rose by nearly 2 per cent after the company reported 14.89 per cent increase in sales in April. The stock climbed 1.76 per cent to Rs 2,959 on BSE. At NSE, it went up by 1.91 per cent to Rs 2,960.05.     The company’s sales number came post market hours yesterday.  Country’s largest two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp yesterday reported 14.89 per cent increase in sales at 6,12,739 units in April.

The company had sold 5,33,305 units in April 2015, Hero MotoCorp had said in a statement.  Having grown by 13.6 per cent and 14 per cent in February and March respectively, this is a third straight month of double-digit growth for Hero MotoCorp, it added.    Meanwhile, the broader market was also trading in the positive, with the benchmark BSE Sensex rising by 153.25 points at 25,590.22 at 1100 hrs.
