Gur prices remain steady on subdued demand

New Delhi: The wholesale gur (Jaggery) market ended quiet in the national capital today following limited buying support amidst restricted arrivals. Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also settled displaying a steady trend in the absence of any worthwhile activity.

Marketmen said small buying support helped gur prices to end flat.

Following are today’s rates (in Rs per quintal):

Gur chakku Rs 3,400-3,500, pedi Rs 3,450-3,550, dhayya Rs 3,600-3,700 and shakkar Rs 3,700-3,800.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,550-2,600, chakku Rs 2,900-3,025, khurpa Rs 2,925-2,950 and Ladoo Rs 3,000-3,050.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,025-3,125 and dhayya Rs 3,150-3,175.
